Grady turned 2 months old September 30th! He is growing so fast and is giving us lots of cute smiles all the time! We are still waiting for that first belly laugh and can tell it's coming soon! He started sleeping 8 to 9 hours each night around 7 weeks old and has been a great sleeper ever since. We are blessed with a baby that loves his sleep and if we interrupt it he will whine until we let him get back to his sleep. It's been crazy the last two weeks and I've gotten behind on the blog because of it. You will see many more posts up today updating you on the last few weeks and everything Grady has experienced . . . good and bad. He is such a sweet baby boy. We can already see that he is very easy going and rolls with the punches life has already thrown at him! We are so thankful to have such a happy baby! Here are a few pictures I took of him when he turned 2 months.

Grady's First Day at Church
We went to church for the first time since Grady was born. We thought he would just sleep the whole time since he has slept through two Clemson football games. Well, we were completely wrong! He was great during the music, but during the sermon he started grunting and releasing so we ended up in the lobby area for half of the service. Then we went to see the 11th graders that we taught in Sunday School last year and our friends from our Adult Sunday School class. I had to leave class and find an empty room to feed him. After that I got to sit and listen to the last half of the lesson. We were happy to be there and see everyone, but it was hard to take our focus off of Grady. He was wide awake the whole time and fell asleep the last ten minutes we were there. He'll definetly be in the nursery next time with his bottle!

My Walking Buddy
Just about every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning my friend Kristen (we taught at Hawk Ridge together) and I go for walks with the boys. Jake is on the left and he is three weeks older than Grady. They hang out all the time and we can't wait for them to get a little older and start playing together. Until then Kristen and I enjoy our chats while the boys sleep. I'm sure we will blink and be swinging them at the playground more than we are walking. It's so nice to have another friend at home with a new baby to hang out with.

Grady's Second Clemson Game
Grady went to another Clemson game and had a great time! It started with lots of laughs with Papa, then we went into the game and we sat with Uncle Jamie and Aunt Sarah. Grady pooped all over the cute polo outfit he had on and THANKFULLY Aunt Sarah was there to help me change Grady. We couldn't find a family bathroom and the women's bathroom had no changing table! So we somehow managed to change and clean him up on a five inch ledge under the mirror! It was interesting to say the least! Then after a disappointing end to the game we went back to the tailgate. Grady got to hang out and flirt with all of Irene's pretty ADPi girls! He can brag about that when he's older! He also took a long nap on Mason's lap and looked so comfy! Even though we lost the game, it was a fun day!

Fun times with Papa

The fam at the game. Thankfully it was overcast and cool!
Grady slept through the game again!

We were way up high! Notice the 2nd outfit of the day!

Heather and Grady! Notice the 3rd outfit of the day. He peed all over the 2nd outfit and on Gmom's shirt! He kept this outfit clean the rest of the day.

Grady's First Clemson Game!
Grady went to his first Clemson game last weekend! We stayed with Richard's parents on Friday night. Gmom and Papa LOVED getting to spend time with Grady! On our way to the game we stopped by the see Aunt Irene's apartment and Grady threw a fit when we woke him up and took him out of his carrier. He fell right back to sleep when we put him back in. I've told you he LOVES his sleep! (Yes, I am appreciating this time as it is going to end soon and we'll be chasing him all over the place!) Then we went to the tailgate and game and enjoyed the great fall weather! Grady slept through the whole game and ate during half time. Grady got to rub Howard's rock, we saw some clemson football players at the tailgate and Grady was decked out in his purple and white from Aunt Irene that matched the Tigers' uniforms! He did great so we are going to try it out again at the Maryland game this weekend!
Gmom and Grady

Grady screaming while we were at Aunt Irene's apartment. He quit crying right after this picture and fell back asleep. This is proof that he isn't a perfect baby, he does cry sometimes!
Grady loving the tailgate and nice weather.
How bad are we? This is our first family picture since we came home from the hospital!!!
Grady loved riding around in the baby bijorn.
Thankfully we found seats in the shade!
I doubled our family photo album in one day!
Aunt Irene gave Grady this outfit, along with a few others. He was matching the Tigers as they also had on purple and white!
Grady rubbing the rock with his feet!
Notice the one eye open - he's going in for the rub and . . .
. . . he hates it! Again, he just wants to go back to sleep. I'm sure he's wondering why we won't just leave him alone!
AHH, back at the tailgate and back to sleep! Aunt Irene loving on Grady!

First Date
Richard and I went on our first date since Grady arrived on September 13th. Grady was about six weeks old. His Uncle Jamie and Aunt Sarah babysat him. We went to dinner at 131 Main, one of our favorite restaurants. It was the same place we ate dinner and opened our envelope and found out we were having a baby boy. Hard to believe he's already here! We missed him while we were gone, but it was nice for us to get out and have a date! Grady had a great time, he slept the whole time in Uncle Jamie's arms! Thankfully he was a good boy and they said they would keep him again! We LOVE that they live down the road and we have free babysitters so close! =)
THANK YOU UNCLE JAMIE AND AUNT SARAH!!!

Grady's Favorite Song!
Richard often holds Grady at the computer and plays him lots of songs, especially early in the morning when I've fed him, but he doesn't want to sleep and Richard takes a turn with him so I can sleep! =) Well, during this time Richard discovered Grady's favorite song. It's the one that plays when you open our blog, "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. We know he likes it because for almost two weeks now Grady smiles everytime he hears it or someone sings it to him! He can be upset, hear the song and start smiling! These are some of the first smiles we've caught on camera. I was able to get so many because he smiles through the whole song! Here are a few I've gotten on two different mornings.
