Christmas with Grandmother and Poppy

We started our two weeks of Christmas vacation by going to Spartanburg. We stayed at Richard's parents' house for a week and also visited both sides of my family while we were there. We had a great time with cousins at Grandmother and Poppy's house first. I am so sad that I didn't get a picture of Grady with Grandmother and Poppy this visit. It is so hard to keep him still I guess. Since that Christmas my Poppy passed away unexpectedly, which makes me even more sad that I didn't get a picture of him with Grady or me. We love Poppy and miss him so much!

Can you tell we had to pack A LOT for two weeks! We had so many gifts for people we were lucky we could fit Grady in the car! Haha! Family picture
Sorry Neely, Grady did not want to sit still anywhere!

Grady's Class Christmas Party

Grady's class had a Christmas party and I enjoyed getting to see him play with his friends and eat like a big boy at the little table. He was scared of Santa, and didn't want to get close!

Yummy cheese puffs!

He kept begging Anna for more cheese puffs!
He wouldn't take his eyes off Santa.

Family Christmas Picture

It's becoming a tradition to try to get a family picture with our timer in front of the Christmas tree. I know I look strangely tall and Richard looks really short. Richard had me stand on books so I wouldn't look so short, little did he know it made him look short! Grady with the train remote.
I loved this little suit on him! I got it the year before after the holidays on Target clearance for $5!!!
Waiting for Daddy to get the camera set up.

Zack and Katy's New House!

Our friends Zack, Katy, Addie and Harper moved into their new house in December. We went down to help with the move and enjoy a weekend with them! We got a lot done, but I know Katy still has so much to do! I wish I lived closer to help more! I somehow didn't take a picture of the house or Addie, but I got a lot of cute pics of Harper!
LOVE her eyes!

Grady playing with Daddy
Their upstaris loft area has lots of space to play! Grady loved laying down like Harper and looking at her!

Grady upset that he can't get the money in the piggy bank.
AH-HA! I found an easier way!

Christmas time is here . . .

The house is all decorated and ready for Christmas! Grady loves the "hoho" rug and gives Santa a hug often. He loves to hold the "baby" (baby Jesus) from the navities. He also loves the train around the tree! Thankfully he's leaving the tree alone because he got stuck in the face by a branch when he walked too close, so now he's afraid of it!

My teacher friends came over for our bunco Christmas party.
Papa came to visit the other night when he was in Charlotte for a conference.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with the Nettles Family. We had a fun and relaxing time! We did have a terrible scare when Grady spiked a 105.3 fever!!! I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and I had to walk through Grady's room. I smelled poop and when I got him up to change him he felt SOOO hot and he was very red all over. I grabbed the thermometer and I freaked out of course when it said 105.3! Richard got his mom and she got in a cold bath with Grady (clothes and all) while Richard and I quickly gave him some motrin, got dressed and grabbed Grady's diaper bag. Thankfully we got to the hospital, got the fever to come down and that was the worst of it. We later found out he had Roseola, and he was better by the end of the weekend.
Snuggling with Daddy. Watching Blue's Clues on his DVD player from Meme.
Fever finally came down and he was out.
We were all exhausted after that ordeal!
Sarah and Irene ready to start poker! We played this a lot and it's always a good laugh!
Grady snuggling with Nana! He still didn't feel so good.
James' first Thanksgiving!

He really wants to go outside!

Sweet!

Savannah

Well, I am finally back to blogging after a very busy few months. We were gone so many weekends this fall and two weeks over Christmas! Thankfully we are home for a few weekends in a row and my goal is to catch up on the blog! So, I begin with our trip to Savannah! It was back in October! WOW! It's January, so I am way behind! Jamie, Sarah, James, Richard, Grady and I loaded up in Sarah's minivan and we all went to Savannah to visit Gene and Rosanne for the weekend. We had a blast!
Grady opening his gift from Gene and Rosanne.

Grady loved playing fetch with Molly.
Daddy and Grady walking around. We went to a shrimp festival, but it was ending when we got there.
Family pic
Grady loved to stand up in the back seat of the minivan and play peek-a-boo with Aunt RoRo!

Uncle Gene played too!
James is such a cutie!
He didn't know what to think of this animal.
We ate dinner at this cool restaurant with a gorgeous view! The bad thing we found out the next day was that there were a million "no-see-ums" and many of us were covered in bug bites!

Grady was laughing at Uncle Gene a lot at dinner.
There was a guy playing music and Grady loved to run around and dance.
Dancing with Daddy
Downing their drinks!

He wanted to play with all the cords.
Coloring with Uncle Gene
Uncle Gene spiked Grady's hair with water.
The ride back home...he was exhausted! He got bit in the face by Molly (you can see it between his ear and eye). Molly wanted Grady to play fetch and when Grady crawled away she bit him. Poor guy.
James loves to cuddle with his Clemson blanket.
We stopped by Grandmama Nettles' house on our way back home.
