Sweet Baby James

Here are some more pictures of sweet baby James! He is so precious and I have enjoyed every second I get to hold him. Grady got to meet him when he came home and really liked him. I know they'll be best buds!
The family! (Love the Clemson hat!)

James Robert Nettles, Jr.

My nephew, James Robert Nettles, Jr. was born at 9:40 pm on May 29th. He was 5 lbs. 12 oz., 19 inches long and handsome! Sarah and Jamie are doing well and are so excited that he is here! He was three weeks early. Most of the family was able to be here and we were all at the hospital for about 12 hours until James arrived. We had fun just hanging out, spending a little time with Jamie and Sarah, eating and playing with Grady. He was a trooper the whole day and never cried until around 11 pm that night just before we left to go home. He was working with only one hour of sleep that day, so I don't blame him. We can't wait to get back up to the hospital later today and see him again! More pictures to come soon!

Waiting, waiting . . .

Grady wanted to talk to Mason on Aunt Irene's phone.
Sad that he doesn't have the phone anymore.
Grady couldn't decided which one to eat. Which one will make me grow shorter?
Will this one make me grow taller?
I'm just going to be safe and eat my carrots!

Some of us took naps to pass the time. Grady stayed awake to hear the news that James was born, then about 5 minutes later he passed out asleep.

Grady acts like a beaver!

I have been trying to get Grady to go to sleep without being rocked to sleep. I should have started this months ago, but I am a Mama that LOVES to rock her baby boy (Dad does too). The only thing that calmed him down was this dog stuffed animal. The funny part is that it was his cousin's (Kate's) that was left here a long time ago. It was one of the "replacement doggies," not the actual doggie that she still has. I have a feeling that Grady is going to love Doggie too! When I would go in to check on him, I was leaning over the crib to lay him down and I noticed scratches all over the inside of the crib where he stands up. I guess he has a beaver side to him because he is chewing on the wood and those two little stumpy teeth are making some dents into the crib. I've heard of a teething rail cover and am definetly going to be getting one.

Cousin Troy

Grady got to visit with his cousin Troy this week. His Aunt Bonnie was babysitting him so that I could get my remicade treatment. She is so sweet to always help me out in this way! I hope she knows how much I deeply appreciate her! =) Grady had a blast, as usual. I left my camera with Bonnie so I could have some recent pictures of the boys together. As Grady gets older I can see more similarities in their looks. Grady trying to walk and push the truck.
Take one of the wagon picture...Troy is smiling here.
Take two . . . looks like Grady is checking out Troy's shoe.
Take three . . . Grady smiling now. At least there is one of each of them smiling, even if it's not in the same picture.
Grady loves to ride in the wagon!
Troy teaching Grady how to do puzzles and I'm sure Grady was trying to steal a piece to chew on.

Whale Pool

We got Grady a pool and I thought I was buying a small pool. The box was small, but the pool turned out to be very big. We felt like rednecks with the pool out in the front yard. I will normally keep it in the backyard, but it was Memorial Day and all our neighbors' kids were out playing in their sprinklers and slip-n-slides in their front yards too. It was a fun afternoon. Grady didn't like being in the pool by himself, so I had to get in too. Then we took him over to Conni's house and he went down the slip-n-slide (but didn't like it). He did enjoy splashing in the mud puddles with Rivers though!

Rivers was a big splasher! So cute!
Grady is not sure about all the grass all over him.
Getting a glimpse into the future of having a little boy!
He tried to put his thumb in his mouth and got upset about all the grass going into his mouth. His fun is officially over.
We tried to put him back on the slip-n-slide for a picture and he was not happy about it.

Baby Shower for Sarah Rawald

One of my teacher friends, Sarah Rawald, is having a baby girl soon. I was so happy to get to go to her baby shower at Hawk Ridge to celebrate! Grady's best buddy, Jake, was there too and they had fun playing together as usual. The baby boom amongest our friends is CRAZY right now. Just two weeks ago, five of our good friends had babies within four days! Cousin James is on his way and should arrive tomorrow!!! We are praying for you Aunt Sarah and Uncle Jamie! I am trying to catch up on all my posting before he arrives! Can you tell? I'm posting six times today!

Grady's First BooBoo

Grady got his first boo boo on his nose. He falls down ALL the time and he got this boo boo while at church nursery. We are hoping the scab will soon fall off because it's so nice to have this huge cute in all his pictures! haha!
This video is of this new face and noise he makes all the time now. We think it's really funny. It's like a pout because he can't get to something he wants.
