A visit to see the Roe cousins!

This week Richard had to travel for work so I packed Grady up and we went to visit my sister, Beth, for a few days. Grady had a blast playing with his cousins, Kate, Asher and Anna. Beth and I had a great time catching up and enjoyed a couple of lazy days just sitting around in pj's and relaxing (especially during nap and bed time). I got some really cute videos of the kids playing together! I have to say I don't know how Beth does it with three kids, but she does! I learned a lot while I was there and have definetly written down some of the discipline tips I observed! Thanks Beth and I'm sure in a few months I'll be calling to get more! Make sure you pause the music so you can hear the videos at the end!

Anna crawled into the pack-n-lay with Grady! She was very excited when she made it in!
Kate invited us all to her bedroom for a party! Here she is with her snacks and we watched the movie, The Little Rascals (at least part of it).
Grady and Anna at the party and Grady loves Belle and all dogs!
Aunt Beth with Anna and Grady at the party!
Kate feeding Grady his bottle before he went to bed.
Kate and Asher pulled out their tailgate chairs and decided to watch an imaginary basketball game. They are so funny and imaginative!
Kate on her motorcycle!
Asher driving Anna around on his Gator!
Some really cute pictures of Kate up in the treehouse.

Asher on Daddy's tractor.
Anna playing a little basketball.
Grady has constant rugburn on his elbows the last month from all his army crawling!
Playing with his feet.
Grady and Asher dancing to that famous basketball/football song you hear at games. They did this for nearly 20 minutes and we had to keep replaying the song for Asher. It's his favorite.
Grady and Asher playing together again. So cute!
Grady playing with Anna. He gives her a big kiss!

Grady and Asher playing together again. They had so much fun! Grady loved it when Asher would baby talk back and forth with him!

Day Trip to Spartanburg

A few days ago Grady and I took a day trip to Spartanburg. There was a Neely Family wedding shower for my cousin Kent and his fiance, Kait. I love going to anything with my extended family since we don't get together as often as we used to. I have 42 first cousins and then there are the aunts, uncles, grandparents, married-in cousins and then all the new babies that keep coming! It is always a good time. I also wanted to take Grady to see my Dad's parents while I was in town and we made a stop by Nana and Papa's house too! Grady didn't nap much, but somehow was happy the whole day! YEAH!

Grabbing Poppy's mustache! He played with Grandmother almost the whole time. If she left the room he kept looking for her and was smiling at her all day.
My cousin Casey and Grady meeting for the first time.
Meme and Grady . . . he loved her red flowers!

BJ and Grady. Such cute boys!
Kent and Kait - the happy couple!
Bebop and Nana
The new toys Nana (Richard's mom, yes he has two Nana's) got him. He loved them.
We took Grady outside and Nana put his toes in the water. He didn't like how cold it was. This is such a sweet picture of the two of them.

Flowers for Mama!

This past Friday some flowers arrived at the house for me! I was very excited and thought how sweet it was for Richard to do that so unexpectedly and no big occassion. Well, I opened the card and they weren't from Richard, they were from Grady! They are beautiful! Richard said they were called Easter lilies. Here is a picture of the flowers, the card and Grady and me. From my sweet boy! Richard said he had to translate the "dadadadaaa, babababaaa."
Way too up close of me, but hard to get good pics when Grady is constantly moving! At least this one wasn't blurry.

Crazy Sleeper

Grady is a very heavy sleeper, but somehow moves a lot while he sleeps too. When I put him down for a nap the other day he was like this. When I came back to check on him later he had rolled over and rotated 180 degrees and somehow rolled his blanket up and wrapped it around the top of his head. He did all this while he was asleep because I heard nothing on the monitor. Of course his thumb is in his mouth in both pictures!
A different day I came in and his arm was like this. That can't make your wrist feel good.

Grady's First Haircut!

Last week Richard gave Grady his first haircut! The hair in the center of his head was getting much thicker and longer than the rest of his hair and it was starting to look like a mohawk. Richard didn't want Grady to end up with what we called a reverse comb-over, so we got the clippers out. Grady was very still while I held him and didn't budge while Richard trimmed it up. It just looks like all of his hair is the same length now. The first two pictures are before shots and the last two are after shots. Not Grady's best pictures, but they show the hair well.
All even afterwards.

8 Months Old

Grady just turned 8 months and I of course tried to get some pictures of him at 8 months. It didn't work so well at first, but we ended up outside in the wagon (one of his favorite things to do) and I got some good pictures. He is about 20 pounds and growing so fast! He loves to eat if you can't tell from the belly and is getting faster and faster at crawling. Everytime I look down he's nearly across the room. He also got his first haircut from Dad and I'll post on that soon!
A little fuzzy, but the only picture I got of him smiling and looking at the camera.
Had to post this because my Mama says this is exactly what I used to do as a kid. Throw my head back and scream in excitement! She has many pictures and videos of it!
He wanted to do everything except sit still for picture.
He even tried crawling right off the chair!
So serious.

Bubbles for the first time and not sure what to do.
Getting braver
Loving them now!
Watching Dad edge the yard. Everytime I take him in the wagon this is how he sits! He lounges and props his feet up in the cup holders. Too cute!
Checking out the daffodils.
He squeezed off most of the petals.
Trying to eat them.
I am holding his hands so he can't put them in his mouth and he decides to lick them instead.
Being a little more gentle.
A video I took of him today. He loves for me to say "boo" to him for some reason and thinks it's hilarious. I love this age and hear from so many other moms that it only gets better!
