H1N1

On October 17th we got in the car to drive to the Clemson vs. Wake Forest game. About 45 minutes down the road, Grady puked all over the place so we turned around and went back home. The rest of the day he was exhausted and started running a fever. Richard had been fighting a cold for a couple of days and we figured Grady was coming down with it. Well, the following Tuesday we took Grady to the doctor because he was getting worse and it turned out that he and Richard had H1N1! Thankfully we never made it to Clemson to spread it to everyone and they made a full recovery in about a week and a half. Richard stayed home from work that whole week with Grady. I don't know how I never got it, but am thanful I didn't. Grady also got an ear infection toward the end of the week and Richard developed bronchitis. It was a rough week for my boys. Pumpkin Patch

We took Grady to the pumkin patch again this year. He has gotten so big since last year and had a lot of fun. He loved running around and checking out all the pumpkins!
Grady this year at 15 months old... Grady last year at 3 months old...
Daddy and Grady
Mama and Grady

Richard took this picture and it did turn out cute, but I was so grossed out because many of those pumpkins were rotting and there were flies all over them.

He really was so excited to run around check out all the pumpkins.
I think I like this one!
Or maybe that one....too many to choose from.
Yes, this one! I got it, come here Mama!
If you can't tell, he didn't want to stay still for a picture with Mama.

He loved the tractors.

Christmas with Grandmother and Poppy

We started our two weeks of Christmas vacation by going to Spartanburg. We stayed at Richard's parents' house for a week and also visited both sides of my family while we were there. We had a great time with cousins at Grandmother and Poppy's house first. I am so sad that I didn't get a picture of Grady with Grandmother and Poppy this visit. It is so hard to keep him still I guess. Since that Christmas my Poppy passed away unexpectedly, which makes me even more sad that I didn't get a picture of him with Grady or me. We love Poppy and miss him so much!

Can you tell we had to pack A LOT for two weeks! We had so many gifts for people we were lucky we could fit Grady in the car! Haha! Family picture
Sorry Neely, Grady did not want to sit still anywhere!

Grady's Class Christmas Party

Grady's class had a Christmas party and I enjoyed getting to see him play with his friends and eat like a big boy at the little table. He was scared of Santa, and didn't want to get close!

Yummy cheese puffs!

He kept begging Anna for more cheese puffs!
He wouldn't take his eyes off Santa.

Family Christmas Picture

It's becoming a tradition to try to get a family picture with our timer in front of the Christmas tree. I know I look strangely tall and Richard looks really short. Richard had me stand on books so I wouldn't look so short, little did he know it made him look short! Grady with the train remote.
I loved this little suit on him! I got it the year before after the holidays on Target clearance for $5!!!
Waiting for Daddy to get the camera set up.

Zack and Katy's New House!

Our friends Zack, Katy, Addie and Harper moved into their new house in December. We went down to help with the move and enjoy a weekend with them! We got a lot done, but I know Katy still has so much to do! I wish I lived closer to help more! I somehow didn't take a picture of the house or Addie, but I got a lot of cute pics of Harper!
LOVE her eyes!

Grady playing with Daddy
Their upstaris loft area has lots of space to play! Grady loved laying down like Harper and looking at her!

Grady upset that he can't get the money in the piggy bank.
AH-HA! I found an easier way!

Christmas time is here . . .

The house is all decorated and ready for Christmas! Grady loves the "hoho" rug and gives Santa a hug often. He loves to hold the "baby" (baby Jesus) from the navities. He also loves the train around the tree! Thankfully he's leaving the tree alone because he got stuck in the face by a branch when he walked too close, so now he's afraid of it!

My teacher friends came over for our bunco Christmas party.
Papa came to visit the other night when he was in Charlotte for a conference.
