Charleston and Father's Day

We had a wonderful Father's Day weekend in Charleston! It was so much fun to be with my family and I always love getting to see my nieces and nephew. Anna is saying Grady's name now and it's too cute. (Troy was sick, so he and Bonnie weren't able to come. We missed you.) I also want to say a few things about Richard as it was Father's Day . . . Grady is blessed to have Richard as a father. Richard not only loves him to pieces, but he let's Grady know it all the time! He misses him when he's at work, plays with him constantly, teaches him many things and takes Grady out for Dad/son nights very often! They always have a blast together. Grady's first word was "Dada" and it's so fun to hear him say that when Richard walks in the door. He also calls out "dada" whenever we walk up the stairs in the house on the days Richard works from home. Grady knows Richard is in the study and starts calling for him and reaching out for him before we even get to him. He loves his Dad and is so blessed to have such a fun, loving, patient and christian father. We love you Richard!
I also want to say how much I love my Daddy! He is so wonderful, fun, loving, and hilarious! I have always adored him and still get excited everytime I see him. I love you so much Daddy and wish I had a picture of you from the weekend, but you were taking pictures of us!

This is a picture of the first time we took Grady to the beach for pictures when he was 2 months old. We only went for pictures that day. This was his second trip to the beach and he was 10 1/2 months old.
Yes he is grimacing. He did not like the beach very much. He hated the sand and would scream when we put him down. He was only happy when we were out in the deep water and I guess that felt more like the pool to him. He also hates to be in the grass, on concrete and etc. We have to work that! We did have a fun day and will try the beach again soon!
Grady and Dad. He was nervous the whole time that we would put him down.
He did like pointing to the pelicans and seagulls when they flew by.
See what I mean? He hated it and didn't even want a single toe in the sand. So funny.
Meme trying to show him it's okay.

There's that happy face. He loved splashing and drinking the salt water.

Anna, isn't she adorable! She saw a dog walk by and she ran after it. Beth kept calling her to come back and Anna would turn around and say, "Come on Mama" as if I'm not coming back, but you can come with me.
Kate looking beautiful.
Here are lots of adorable pictures of Anna.

Some cute pictures of Asher.

After the beach we went by the pool in my parents' neighborhood.

After naps the kids were happy and had a blast. I LOVED this picture of Anna. It completely shows her personality! Gotta love the hand on the hip!
Grady kept chasing Anna to get her toys. He had her backed into a corner!
Anna was up on this chair trying to get away from Grady again.
On Sunday we went by Zack and Katy's house to see them, Addie and Harper. We grilled hotdogs for lunch and I had an awesome time playing with Addie and holding Harper! This was so cute of Addie! She passed out all her instruments and had us all playing in her band.

Cousin Troy

Grady and I went to visit Aunt Bonnie and cousin Troy last week. Our plan was to lotion up the boys and take them to Bonnie's pool. When we got there we didn't know the pool would be closed until that afternoon, so we let the boys swing on the playground for awhile. Then we went back to Bonnie's house and the boys played in the Elmo sprinkler. The pictures are blurry because they were taken with my phone.
Grady with his greasy lotion head. I put this blanket behind his head so his carseat wouldn't get greasy. Swinging!
Playing in the sprinkler. Grady got very upset if I put him on the grass, so we put him Troy's wagon.
He was off and on excited and upset the whole time. We couldn't decide if he like the cold sprinkler water or not.

A vist to the doctor

About 3 weeks ago I took Grady to the doctor. I thought he was getting another ear infection, but it turned out that he was getting four of his top teeth at the same time! Two have now offically broken through the gum and the other two probably will this weekend. Poor guy, he's been pretty miserable at times. I took some pictures of him in the doctor's office with my cell phone because he was destroying the paper on the table. I'm sure all kids do this, but it is so funny to watch.

A quick trip to Orlando!

Richard came across some really cheap flights to Orlando recently and since our friends Mark and Lindsey live there we took advantage of it. Richard's parents and Aunt Irene kept Grady while we were gone. I figure a baby in Universal Studios is not ideal. We were so thankful that they kept him and hopefully I'll get some of their pictures soon! Grady had a blast with them, played in the pool and at the lake. We had a great time in Orlando. Our friend Shaun was also there. We started off with a trip to a cool wine bar when we got there late Friday night. Saturday we were at Univeral Studios and Islands of Adventures (Danger Island, according to Richard) all day! We were worn out. We got a late dinner and then Lindsey and I slept in until almost noon Sunday! It was wonderful! We shopped at the outlets and then flew back Sunday afternoon. It was quick, but so much fun! We were happy to see them!
Our adventure begins!
Silly boys! When Lindsey and I drove up to Mark's apartment the guys walked out dressed in these shirts! We couldn't help but laugh. They said they felt like they were in a club walking around like that all day! Too funny!
Different color, but we were just trying to find something comfortable and cool to wear.
The view Lindsey and I had all day. Seriously, these guys were on a mission to ride everything in both parks in one day! It was fun, but exhausting!
Double Dragon!
My sister taught me how to do this. Take a picture of the TV screen with your picture on it! It works nicely. Mark was so funny! He has been on these rides so much he knows where every camera is and would pose for each one! He's on the far right. We took the "single rider" lines often to cut down on our wait time.
What my face looked like on most rides! I do love rides, even though I look terrified! Richard and I on the far right of the front two rows.
Acceleration! Lindsey and I wanted to sit one out and we let the guys get all dizzy on these tea cups!

Richard and Mark were ready to chill, but Shaun just kept on spinning the wheel! (no, Richard didn't puke!)

Richard's Work Trip to San Francisco

Richard went to San Francisco for work last week and he got lots of great pictures. Grady and I missed him a lot. I especially missed Richard when Grady was screaming for hours on end and refused to go to sleep if I wasn't holding him. Of course I gave in and let him sleep with me. I know, I know, bad mama. I just really wanted to sleep!

I want a t-shirt with this pictures on it that says, "Somebody went to Tiffany's and all I got was this picture!" Haha! JK Richard!
