A quick trip to Orlando!

Richard came across some really cheap flights to Orlando recently and since our friends Mark and Lindsey live there we took advantage of it. Richard's parents and Aunt Irene kept Grady while we were gone. I figure a baby in Universal Studios is not ideal. We were so thankful that they kept him and hopefully I'll get some of their pictures soon! Grady had a blast with them, played in the pool and at the lake. We had a great time in Orlando. Our friend Shaun was also there. We started off with a trip to a cool wine bar when we got there late Friday night. Saturday we were at Univeral Studios and Islands of Adventures (Danger Island, according to Richard) all day! We were worn out. We got a late dinner and then Lindsey and I slept in until almost noon Sunday! It was wonderful! We shopped at the outlets and then flew back Sunday afternoon. It was quick, but so much fun! We were happy to see them!
Our adventure begins!
Silly boys! When Lindsey and I drove up to Mark's apartment the guys walked out dressed in these shirts! We couldn't help but laugh. They said they felt like they were in a club walking around like that all day! Too funny!
Different color, but we were just trying to find something comfortable and cool to wear.
The view Lindsey and I had all day. Seriously, these guys were on a mission to ride everything in both parks in one day! It was fun, but exhausting!
Double Dragon!
My sister taught me how to do this. Take a picture of the TV screen with your picture on it! It works nicely. Mark was so funny! He has been on these rides so much he knows where every camera is and would pose for each one! He's on the far right. We took the "single rider" lines often to cut down on our wait time.
What my face looked like on most rides! I do love rides, even though I look terrified! Richard and I on the far right of the front two rows.
Acceleration! Lindsey and I wanted to sit one out and we let the guys get all dizzy on these tea cups!

Richard and Mark were ready to chill, but Shaun just kept on spinning the wheel! (no, Richard didn't puke!)

Richard's Work Trip to San Francisco

Richard went to San Francisco for work last week and he got lots of great pictures. Grady and I missed him a lot. I especially missed Richard when Grady was screaming for hours on end and refused to go to sleep if I wasn't holding him. Of course I gave in and let him sleep with me. I know, I know, bad mama. I just really wanted to sleep!

I want a t-shirt with this pictures on it that says, "Somebody went to Tiffany's and all I got was this picture!" Haha! JK Richard!

Pops in the Park

We went to Pops in the Park on Sunday and had a great time. For those of you that don't live in Charlotte, it's a symphony that plays every Sundy during the summer in an outside amphitheater by the South Park Mall. We went with our friends Heather, Michael, Laura, Zach, Brittany and John. Heather and Laura are due with baby boys on June 20th!

Grady is 10 Months Old!

Grady is 10 months old and we can hardly believe how big he is getting! He weighs about 23 lbs and is over 30 inches long! He is definetly a big boy! He has his two bottom teeth and the top two are about to come in any day. He is babbling all the time and his favorite things to say are "Naanaa, Daadaa, Bawl, bawl for ball, Mama's are becoming more frequent, and papapapa's." He does love to point to the light if you ask him where it is and he always goes and gets his ball if you ask him where that is. He of course still loves to take baths and crawls as fast as he can to the bathroom when he hears me start the water. It's so cute. He is into everything and I pretty much chase him around the house all day! It's so much fun! OH...funny story. I was in Babies-R-Us two days ago and had unbuckled Grady from his stoller to hold some clothes up to him and make sure they were long enough. Well, when I sat him back down I didn't buckle him and when I turned back around he slipped himself out right under his snack tray and was crawling away as fast as he could! Little stinker! He's already sneaky and fast! His two serious looks below. Guess he's acting like he was jail and pouting for me to get him out!

He was crying, "naanaa, naanaa" = "pick me up!"
I got him a toy and this is his new face that means, "I love that and I want to touch that and bite it."
Well, he grabbed it and threw it down the stairs. Here he is looking for it.
I tried all day to get pictures of him and here are some of our typical day . . . me chasing him and playing peek-a-boo all over the house.
He tries often to stand up on this plant stand. Hopefully he'll never knock it over on himself.

The "I want to eat that plant" face
He loves to bang on the piano.
Love that smile!
Crawling under the dining room table.
Taking a rest.
So later Richard, Nana and Papa were here so we tried to get some pictures again with help getting him to stay still and smile. He refused to sit in the chair. It rocks and he thought it was fun to sling himself out of it with every rock!

He was playing peek-a-boo with Nana and Papa.
Fun time with Dad! Pause the music on the right to hear his giggles!
He loves kicking his ball.

Hanging out with Jake

Grady and Jake are such good buddies! They have so much fun together and the smiles they give each other are adorable! We met Jake and Kristen at their pool the other day and then Jake played at our house for a little bit. Here are a few pictures from our day! When the boys are with us, I'll be able to get some of them in the pool together.
Grady loves to give kisses!
That nearly knock Jake over.

Jake liked crawling into the basket.
So cute!

One of the silliest faces I've ever seen Grady make!
