Baby Harper

Last week Harper Hanna was born!!! Our best friends, Zack and Katy, are the proud parents! Big sister Addie is very excited about her arrival too! She looks a lot like Addie did as a baby. She is gorgeous! We were so happy to meet her, even though it was only for a few hours. We can't wait to see them all again soon for a longer visit! I was so glad that I got to see her with her eyes open!

Amy's Baby Shower

Grady and I went to a baby shower last week for one of my teacher friends, Amy. She is having a girl, Ella. I love the name! It was at Hawk Ridge, where I used to work. She got TONS of gifts and I know she must feel more prepared having received so much! I can't wait to meet Ella! Mrs. Paula was Grady's entertainment during the baby shower.

Grady also loved Mrs. Ashley. He kept reaching out for her!

July 4th Outfit

My Mama made this cute July 4th outfit for all her grandsons to wear on July 4th (and there is a dress for the girls). It fits Grady a few months early, so I decided I needed to get some pictures of him in it before it doesn't fit anymore. I've titled this, "I pledge allegiance to the flag . . ."

Tonuge out as usual. He does this whenever he is concentrating.

It was very hard to get him to look at the camera while he was standing. I'll try again soon!

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was wonderful! I am very thankful to be a mother. Grady is a blessing to me and being a mom is more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. I thank God everyday for Grady and allowing me to be a mother! Although I was pregnant with Grady this time last year, it was so much fun to have him here this year! He gave me a cute card that Dad helped him sign and a gift card for a hot stone massage (that was very relaxing)! We spent the day together and with Richard's parents and Aunt Irene.

Aunt Irene and GradyThis is how most of the afternoon was. Everyone waiting for their turn with Grady! Too funny! Grady and Papa Aunt Irene tried to snuggle with him, but he just wanted to pull her hair. He finally quit and started being sweet. Later that night we went to visit our friends, Jason and Bridget. They have a four month old son, Andrew. Grady was more interested in stealing all of Andrew's toys from him than playing with him. We have to work on that!

Grady's First Taste of Ice Cream!

We went to Jason's Deli recently. Dr. Plonk said he could start tasting everything we eat, even milk products (just no actual milk or nuts). This has been fun to see his reaction to new things. He is not a huge cheese fan and that is hopefully going to change or his Dad is going to be majorly disappointed! If you know Richard, Grady is bound to be a cheeseaholic! So, we let him taste our ice cream cone at Jason's Deli. He loved it, but after awhile I could tell he was getting tired of it being so cold. After every bite he would put his thumb in his mouth for a few seconds. I guess it makes it taste better? He does this often whenever he is eating.

Triple Baby Shower!

Last week our Bible Study had a triple baby shower! Sarah, Laura and Heather are all due within 3 days of each other and all of them are having boys! We decided to have one big shower for all three of them. We had a spagetti dinner and they got lots of great gifts!

Grady was really excited to see his Aunt Sarah when she got there. He really wanted her colorful necklace.

Grady's visit to Meme and Ditdough's House

I mentioned before that Grady had a lot of "firsts" when he stayed with my parents the other week. They got a lot of cute pictures of him and I have taken forever to put them on the blog.

Great picture of how he crawls. He has got to have some strong muscles in his arms. He always pulls his body weight with his arms. He tries all fours at times now, and we just wish he knew it would be much easier for him.

Can you tell someone is happy to get some food? He has been a bottomless pit lately! I don't expect it to ever end!
