Christmas in Mt. Pleasant!

Christmas afternoon we drove down to Mt. Pleasant to stay with my family for a few days. It was a FULL house! 10 adults and 5 grandkids! Christmas night we let the kids open their gifts first, then after they went to bed the adults opened gifts. That was a lot easier! We had a funfilled few days and got lots of wonderful pictures! There was never a dull moment! Grady especially loved cousin Kate holding him and feeding him bottles!

Asher and Anna
Kate, Asher and Anna playing in the big box! Funny how boxes are more fun than the toys they got for Christmas!
I guess Cooper was missing his kennel or just wanted to make my laundry hamper his hideaway from everyone! We found him this way!
An attempt at a cousin photo. Troy didn't want to be in it and Asher was looking confused as to why Troy was crying. Anna is just taking it all in and of course Kate is looking at the camera and smiling as usual! Grady was just chillin'.

Asher bouncing on the bouncy ball and he bounced right into Uncle David's knee!!! Ty got this unbelievable pic of it! Noticed the cheeks in motion during the impact! Crazy!
Asher beating up the bouncy ball for hurting him! Too funny!

Tired baby again....seriously, this thumb is always in his mouth!

Grady's First Snow Day!

We didn't believe the weathermen as usual, but they were right this time! We got 3 inches of snow! It continued to snow until noon and was beautiful. It was just enough to have fun and get great pics, but not enough to make the roads dangerous. Grady seemed to love it and was just looking all around and sticking his tonuge out as the snowflakes kept landing on his mouth. This is the first real snow we've had since we moved in our house 4 1/2 years ago.

Christmas in Spartanburg . . . Part Three!

Part three includes Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with the Nettles' family! Richard woke up sick on Christmas Eve, but was ready for some cinnamon toast and ginger ale by the end of the night. Papa read the Christmas story, a Nettles Christmas Eve tradition and we all shared what we were most thankful for this year! Grady, Sarah and Jamie's baby on the way, Gene and Rosanne's success with Geneaology and Irene's straight A's in school were the major things mentioned! We got our Christmas pjs and took a family photo. Then Christmas morning was filled with running down the steps, a huge and delicious breakfast, opening of MANY gifts and then one very special gift at the end.....Sarah got a new minivan from Jamie! Then we packed up the car and drove down to Mt. Pleasant to be with my family for a few days.
The three Donnington Nettles! haha!
Daddy Gene/Papa reading the Christmas story.
Gene making his silly faces as usual. At least there were no fights this year!
Grady playing with Aunt Irene!

Waiting to see what Santa brought!
Grady got a wagon from Nana and Papa!
Molly wanted to check it out.
Grady needed a snack during the present opening madness!

Grady liked it so much he decided to take a nap in the wagon! He was also trying to block the sun as he sucked his thumb!

Christmas in Spartanburg . . . Part Two!

Part Two includes a visit to my my Dad's parents' house (Grandmother and Poppy) and a visit to my Mama's parents' house (Bebop and Nana) and all 100 other cousins, aunts, uncles and etc. We are thankful that so much of our extended family lives in Spartanburg. It makes the traveling much easier!
Grady imitating his Ditdough!
Grady with another Greatgrandmother!
Grady with Poppy, Greatgrandfather!
My Mama, Meme, with all 5 grandchildren! This was how well our attempt went to get them all in one picture! Not so successful!
This one turned out good though. Meme with Kate, Anna and Grady.
We tried the floor and it worked better. Not everyone is looking, but no one is fighting and they are all in the picture!
My Daddy and his mother! Poppy and Grandmother. Grandmother loved her new blanket and decided to pretend to be Mary!
We are now at the Neely's! Bebop and Nana's house! Troy, Anna and Asher playing with the nativity.
At least Beth was looking at the camera! There were 84 people there, over 20 couldn't make it. No wonder it was too distracting and crazy to get many good pictures! That many people in one room is very warm! It was fun though!
Kate smiling and looking beautiful as usual!
Grady stayed on Uncle Ty's lap the whole time. It was just too much for him so he slept through it all.
Loving his thumb as usual!
Upset that I woke him to get a picture with his greatgrandparents (Bebop and Nana) before we left. Bebop did give the greatgrands a wonderful gift....he hand made wooden building blocks for them!
